Service Terms
Last updated on June 12, 2026
These Service Terms describe the products and services that make up the Bharat.Law platform and set out terms specific to each. They are incorporated into the Evaluation Terms of Service and the Platform Agreement. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in those documents.
We may add, modify, or retire individual Services from time to time. Material adverse changes during a Subscription Term will be notified in advance.
1. NyaI™
NyaI™, our legal AI system, built on a mix of in-house fine-tuned and third-party frontier models, powers the platform. The NyaI™ system is grounded in Indian primary law (statutes, rules, judgments, gazettes) and in customer-supplied content where you direct it to, with retrieval and verification layers on top of the underlying models.
The NyaI™ system is a software tool. Its outputs are not legal advice. Citations and quotations produced by the NyaI™ system should be independently verified against the underlying source before reliance. Where the NyaI™ system presents a confidence score, citation source, or warning, you are expected to read and weigh it.
2. Verifiable Research
Verifiable Research answers research questions about Indian law and returns an answer with citations to primary sources. It is intended to accelerate, not replace, the work of a qualified user. You are responsible for confirming that the cited authority says what the answer reports it to say, that it remains good law, and that it applies to your facts.
Where Verifiable Research draws on third-party court or government data, the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of that data depend on the publishing authority. We make no warranty as to the absence of upstream errors.
3. Document Intelligence
Document Intelligence ingests, classifies, extracts data from, and summarises documents you upload. Outputs are working drafts. You are responsible for verifying extractions against the source document before relying on or sharing them.
Document Intelligence is a content-processing tool. It does not perform notarisation, attestation, or other acts that require a human or statutory office to perform them.
4. Intake Assistant
Intake Assistant is a conversational interface that helps prospective clients describe their matter and supports advocates in collecting intake information. Information gathered by Intake Assistant is provided to the advocate or firm operating the intake; Bharat.Law processes it on their behalf as described in the Data Processing Addendum.
Use of Intake Assistant does not create an advocate-client relationship with Bharat.Law and, unless the intaking advocate confirms otherwise, does not create one with that advocate either.
5. Case Workspace
Case Workspace stores matter content (parties, documents, timelines, drafts, notes) and lets Authorised Users collaborate on a matter. Customer is responsible for the access controls it configures, for sharing matters only with appropriate Authorised Users, and for the legal and ethical implications of collaboration with users outside its organisation.
6. Court Monitoring
Court Monitoring tracks case listings, orders, and cause-list movements on Indian courts, forums and tribunals you specify. We rely on data published by the relevant court. We do not guarantee that listings, orders, or cause lists are complete, current, or free of court-side errors. Customer remains responsible for verifying critical hearing details directly with the court.
7. Tasks
Tasks lets users create, assign, and track work items, deadlines, and reminders. Reminders are a convenience and do not replace Customer's own calendaring and statute-of-limitations practices. Bharat.Law is not responsible for missed deadlines arising from reliance on reminders.
8. Translate
Translate produces machine translations of legal text between English and other Indian languages. Translations are working drafts. Customer is responsible for review by a qualified speaker before any filing, contract execution, or external use. We do not warrant that translations are free of error or suitable for any specific tribunal's requirements.
9. Typist
Typist provides drafting assistance, format conversion, and template-based document generation. Drafts must be reviewed by a qualified user before being signed, filed, or shared. Use of templates supplied with Typist is subject to the licence in the Evaluation Terms or Platform Agreement; templates are not legal advice.
10. External Advocate network
The Services include access to a network of independent advocates ("External Advocates") who have separately agreed to be listed by Bharat.Law. Where Customer or its Authorised Users elect to engage an External Advocate, the following terms apply in addition to the Evaluation Terms or Platform Agreement.
- External Advocates are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, or agents of Bharat.Law. They carry their own professional indemnity insurance where applicable.
- Bharat.Law is not the advocate in any matter and does not provide legal advice. The Services do not constitute a lawyer-referral arrangement, an attorney-client privilege channel by themselves, or a guarantee of any particular advocate's availability.
- Any advocate-client relationship is between you and the External Advocate. Its scope, duration, and fee arrangement are governed by the engagement letter you sign with the advocate.
- Bharat.Law may facilitate communication, scheduling, document exchange, and payment between you and the External Advocate. Where Bharat.Law processes information you exchange via the Services, it does so as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Bharat.Law does not endorse any specific External Advocate. Listings are informational and are not solicitation by any advocate under the local laws or professional rules that apply to them.
- Bharat.Law does not influence the professional judgment of External Advocates and does not share in their legal fees except to the extent permitted by the local laws and professional rules that apply, and as disclosed in the engagement materials.
BHARAT.LAW HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RENDERED BY ANY EXTERNAL ADVOCATE OR FOR ADVICE PROVIDED BY THEM. USE OF SUCH PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
11. Beta features
From time to time we offer beta, preview, or experimental features ("Betas"). Betas are provided "as is", may change or be withdrawn, may not be subject to the same security or SLA commitments as generally available Services, and may have limited support. Customer's use of a Beta is voluntary and at its own risk. We may collect telemetry from Betas to improve them.
