In short

A team workspace is a shared space for a team or practice area in your firm. It holds the team's cases, research, drafts, documents, court matters and tasks. Workspaces sit inside an organisation, which holds your seats and members. Organisations and team workspaces are available on the Teams and Enterprise plans. Everyone also has a private Personal workspace.

CaseOwner, Lawyer, ClientThe case owner invites and removes lawyers and clients on the Team tab.

Set up your organisation

  1. Subscribe to a team plan

Teams and Enterprise plans create your organisation and include a set number of seats. You can add more seats from Subscription.

  2. Invite members

Open Manage organisation, select Invite member and enter an email address. You can copy, resend or revoke pending invitations.

  3. Create workspaces

Select New workspace, name it after the team or practice area, and add members as Admin or Member.

  4. Choose case sharing

Turn on Share all cases with the workspace so every member sees every case, or leave it off so members see only the cases they're assigned to.

Switch workspaces

If you belong to more than one workspace, use the Workspace switcher at the top of the app. Switching loads that workspace's cases, tasks, court matters, drafts and documents, and applies across Bharat.Law on web and mobile and in connected assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Organisation settings

  • Require Google sign-in: new members must use Google to accept invitations or join through an approved domain.
  • Change a member's role between Member and Manager.
  • Remove a member and choose a replacement to take over their cases and assignments.
  • Archive a workspace. Its records are kept by the organisation.
  • Import your firm's existing court matters into a workspace.
